Apple tree planting on 23.10.2024 in front of the mensa55

As part of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025, young fruit trees will be planted in various parts of the city for the project GELEBTE NACHBARSCHAFT. Joyful fruit for everyone is the aim of the project, which is being realized and lived by many different people working together in partnerships. The green space in front of ^mensa55 at Reichenhainer Straße 55 is now also adorned with three new apple trees.

In cooperation with Chemnitz 2025 and with the support of Sachsenlotto, we cordially invite you to the planting event on 23.10.2024 from 10:30 a.m. under the motto “An apple trip around the world”. In addition to the planting around 12:30 p.m., you can expect a varied entertainment program with a live podcast from Sächsische Lotto-GmbH as well as exciting games and activities on the subject of apples. Bring along your favorite apple recipes and take part in an interview for the chance to win great prizes. The cafete⁵⁵ also has many delicious apple-related offers:

• Baked apple with vanilla sauce and a scoop of ice cream of your choice
• Apple fritters with vanilla sauce and a scoop of ice cream of your choice
