BAföG-News: 29. BAföG Amendment Act

There is good news for BAföG recipients! The 29th BAföG Amendment Act brings some positive changes: 

• Requirements rates increase by 5% 
• Maximum funding amount increases to 992 € 
• Allowances will be increased by 5,25% 
• Flat-rate housing allowance for students who do not live with their parents has been increased to 380 €
• Young people from low-income households can apply for a study start-up grant of 1.000 € at the beginning of their studies.
• Students can take advantage of a one-off flexible semester if they exceed the maximum funding period
• A change of subject is possible up to the start of the 4th semester
