BAföG-News: 29. BAföG Amendment Act
There is good news for BAföG recipients! The 29th BAföG Amendment Act brings some positive changes:
- Requirements rates increase by 5%
- Maximum funding amount increases to 992 €
- Allowances will be increased by 5,25%
- Flat-rate housing allowance for students who do not live with their parents has been increased to 380 €
- Young people from low-income households can apply for a study start-up grant of 1.000 € at the beginning of their studies.
- Students can take advantage of a one-off flexible semester if they exceed the maximum funding period
- A change of subject is possible up to the start of the 4th semester
