Club der Kulturen - construction in progress

For a long time it was quiet around the Club der Kulturen in the heart of the campus. But for a few weeks now, new life has been stirring: People are remembering stories and making new plans. It is being cleaned and repainted. People are laughing and meeting each other. Even soft music can be heard in the club rooms. Committed students, employees of the TU and the Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau are working together to prepare the Club der Kulturen for its reopening. We would like to express our sincere thanks for this.

Since April 1, 2023, the Club has been the responsibility of the Social Services / Culture Department of the Studentenwerk. There, we have set ourselves the goal of reopening the doors of the club as soon as possible and successively putting it back into the hands of students. Until then, there is still a lot to do. The walls are already wearing a new outfit, and the interior furnishings will follow. Soon the club will once again be a meeting place for students and a location for events. Once the bar and stage areas have been renovated, it will be possible to party there again.

We are very much looking forward to that. Because the club is lacking young talent: students who want to continue the club as a place with an international flair, where openness to diversity thrives and many intercultural events can find a home. We know that the responsibility for a club is not without. It includes not only the fun of events, but also a lot of paperwork, logistics and organization. But we help and support where we can.
