Deposit saves lives - We say thank you!

Since 14.02.2022, in cooperation with the Chemnitz UNICEF university group, there has been a UNICEF bottle deposit garbage can in the Reichenhainer Straße cafeteria. The bottle deposit thrown in there will be donated by UNICEF to water projects in developing countries.

We would like to thank all those who help to save lives with their deposit and are pleased that the participation is so high and so well received. So far, the garbage can has already been emptied 7 times and has already generated a donation total of approximately 180 € in this short period of time. We would also like to thank our guests of the Mensa for their positive attitude towards the deposit garbage can. The garbage can is used for what it is intended for, which is why trash or other waste very rarely finds its way into it.

We are overwhelmed and happy that after just one month so much money for clean drinking water could be collected through deposits.
