Increased broadcasting contribution ("Rundfunkbeitrag") starting August 2021

Following the decision by the Federal Constitutional Court, the German Broadcasting contribution ("Rundfunkbeitrag") will be increasing up to €18.36 per month starting in August 2021.

The contribution service of ARD ZDF Deutschlandradio Beitragsservice will start collecting the contribution at the end of August 2021 and will inform you individually and according to the payment method you have chosen about the adjustment of the contribution amount.

If you have given the Broadcasting Contribution Service a SEPA mandate, the contribution adjustment will be modified automatically.

If you have not issued a SEPA mandate, you will receive - depending on the payment frequency you have chosen - successive payment notices from the end of August showing the new contribution amount.
