Deadline is today!

Starting this fall, the cafeteria Reichenhainer Straße of the Chemnitz-Zwickau Student Union will present itself in a new look. The ambience is characterized by wood and soft color tones, better light flooding as well as lights in industrial style with black and brass contrasts in the interior and a clear color and form language in the exterior.

In the redesigned service areas, modern large-scale wall tiles and counters in a concrete and granite stone look with recurring elements, such as the brass tones on the light fixtures and the wood look of the tableware niches, combine pleasantly with the guest area. An equally modern all-day dining experience is then significantly expanded to include modular burgers, freshly baked pizza, an ice cream counter, and a variety of new and fresh recipes.

Different seating areas with smaller and larger seating groups, niches and brasserie benches as well as the additional guest room with an opening to Reichenhainer Straße invite you to linger and feel good. The interior is complemented by the new outdoor terrace, large terrace umbrellas and newly designed entrance portals with striking accentuation. With the reopening, the cafeteria will once again be open to all guests as a favorite gastronomic spot on campus, a recreational meeting place, a common place of learning, and a space for communication and exchange in everyday university life.

Now your creativity is needed! We are looking for a name for the cafeteria that best reflects its character as a special place on campus. You are invited to send your suggestions by June 30, 2021 to hochschulgastronomie@swcz.de or to hand them in at the office of the cafeteria management, Reichenhainer Straße 55, indicating a contact option.

The main prize is a voucher for one month's free meal in our Chemnitz refectories and cafeterias. In addition, we will raffle 20 further vouchers and prizes among all participants. We look forward to your creative suggestions!
