Opening ceremony of our dormitory Makarenkostraße 8

The big project of our new dormitory building is coming to an end. In January 2022 the groundbreaking ceremony took place and today we celebrate the official opening of the dormitory Makarenkostraße 8. We have the pleasure of welcoming a number of guests today and we will have exciting program items. A casual discussion round between Sebastian Gemkow, Saxon State Minister for Science, Constance Arndt, Mayor of the City of Zwickau, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Kassel, Rector of the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau, as well as Jan Luca Schmidt, student and resident in Makarenkostraße 8, is planned. In addition, our guests as well as dormitory residents can help create a small art project. Small wooden blocks can be creatively designed and, for example, provided with personal greetings. In the end, the decorated blocks will be used to create a mural for the dormitory.

We are looking forward to the celebration, to our guests and to the official start of our newest dormitory. We were already able to welcome a few tenants to Makarenkostraße and we are very much looking forward to all further move-ins.
