Price adjustments in the refectories & cafeterias as of 01.01.2023

Dear guests,

the cost increases in almost all areas of life are unfortunately also hitting us massively. After the restrictions and supply chain disruptions caused by the Corona pandemic, the consequences of the Ukraine war are now having an impact, especially on food and energy purchases, but also on the costs of many services such as cleaning, waste disposal, craftsmen's services, etc.

The situation is forcing us to reflect the constant price increases in our selling prices. While in recent months we have been able to keep most of our offers, especially the fixed-price ranges, at the old price level, this is no longer feasible with a view to 2023: As of 01.01.2023, our prices in all product ranges will have to be adjusted to reflect increased costs. This was also seen and decided by the administrative board of the Studentenwerk Chemnitz-Zwickau within the framework of our economic planning 2023.

The average required price increase is 15 percent across all food and beverage offerings. Depending on the product group, however, the increase can vary - in the fixed price range, for example, between 10 and 30 percent, and in the daily price offers on average 15 percent.

In any case, our aim is to continue to serve you as best we can with a range of products that meets your needs and is affordable. The diversity and health aspects of the offerings will remain firmly in focus in 2023.
