Second heating subsidy for BAföG recipients

In the Federal Cabinet, another heating subsidy for BAföG recipients was decided! Compared to the first subsidy, this was increased from 230 to 345 euros.

All students who have received BAföG benefits for at least one month in the period from September 2022 to December 2022 and who lived outside their parents' home will receive the subsidy of 345 euros.

No application is required. The amount will be automatically transferred to all eligible persons' own accounts. Payment is scheduled for the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023.
