Simplified declaration of financial assets for BAföG application

In future, it will not be necessary to submit proof of assets when applying for BAföG if your own assets do not exceed 10,000 €.

A corresponding form has been developed for this purpose, with which applicants submit a declaration that their own assets do not exceed a value of €10,000 on the day of application. In this respect, the declaration replaces the information on page 4 of Form 01. As a result, it may be possible to process the BAföG application much more quickly.

There is no obligation to use the form.

If no declaration can be made, the values of all assets on the day of application must still be provided.
