Study assistance for the start of your studies

Are you planning to study and need money for a laptop or rent deposit?
 

On March 6, 2024, the Federal Cabinet passed the draft bill for the 29th BAföG amendment. Among other things, it is planned to pay out a one-off study start-up grant of €1,000 at the beginning of their studies. Young students under the age of 25 are to benefit from this if they come from families who are dependent on social benefits. This also includes recipients of housing benefit. The money is intended to pave the way for studying. For example, it can be used to pay for a rent deposit, computer or books.
