BaFin warns against supposedly lucrative job offer in the home office
The Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) warns against responding to a supposedly lucrative job offer as a "back office employee", which allegedly comes from LEMA Vermögensverwaltung GmbH. However, this company neither operates the website lema-vermoegen.com nor does it offer the jobs described in the job advertisements there.
Further information can be found on the BaFin website: https://www.bafin.de/SharedDocs/Veroeffentlichungen/DE/Verbrauchermitteilung/weitere/2022/meldung_2022_09_21_Warnung_Jobangebot_Back_Office_Mitarbeiter.html
Such incidents have also been described by students in our counselling services, therefore please note the warning above.
The website in question has been shut down in the meantime. However, it cannot be ruled out that the unknown providers are operating under a different name. Please do not accept any supposed job offers in trust services, as financial or parcel agents, or where you are supposed to make your private bank account available for business transactions or do shipments of parcels privately. In case of doubt, please contact our Legal or Social Counselling Service beforehand if you are unsure about if a job offer is trustworthy.
