Studies and Future

At some point during his or her studies almost every student thinks about the option of changing the study subject or completely dropping out of university. Many of them find good solutions for the future.

Some, however, need support to make the right decision for themselves. Often, a conversation helps to sort your own thoughts and to find the reasons for doubts and fears. There are different counselling services who can be helpful in such a situation.

Chemnitz:

Zwickau:

Zwickau has a very well-adjusted advisory concept, called “Plan B” which is specifically aimed at students having doubts continuing their studies. It was created in cooperation with the University of Applied Science Zwickau, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Chamber of Crafts and the German Federal Employment Agency.

Students facing critical circumstances during their studies are able to turn to the following non-binding and anonymous counselling services provided by the university and the German Federal Employment Agency.

• Allgemeine Studienberatung/ Orientierungsberatung der WH Zwickau (“Central Course Guidance of WH Zwickau”)
• Beratung zu beruflichen Alternativen durch die Agentur für Arbeit (“Counselling regarding professional alternatives by the German Federal Employment Agency”)
